The city is running a survey to get public input on different options for a pilot project for bike lanes on Bloor, running from Avenue Rd to the east, to Shaw St in the west. The survey can be accessed from this page, and they are asking for input before December 17.
As noted in an earlier post, three separate design options are being considered, and at the same time, the city is collecting broader public input. Certainly there is ample opportunity for people taking the survey to express either their support or their opposition to the bike lanes.
As Albert Koehl noted in this article on the Dandyblog, after this round of consultations, the city will finalize a design, run another public meeting, and then put forward a proposal in front of the Public Works and Infrastructure Committee (PWIC), probably in April.
It is vitally important for people to show the strongest possible support for the bike lane project at all steps of this process. Please respond to the city survey if you have not already done so!
