After a week of dismal forecasts, the weather was just fine today for a bike ride.
It being Mother’s Day weekend, the theme of the ride was mothers, families, and bike safety.
Sweet Pete’s was handing out bells.
Anthony designed the poster for the ride, and was also selling shirts with the same design.

More scenes from High Park.
Councillor Kristin Wong Tam encouraged all of us to make our voices heard at City Hall with regards to bike issues.
And we’re off.
Headed down to Keele, we had to stay to one lane because of contruction, and this strung out the pack a bit more than usual.
Once past Keele, things opened up.
Lots of kids out for the ride.
Bob working with the law to give the ride together.
This year, we had to turn south at St. George to avoid a conflict with the Freedom March.
All although the ride, we had the pleasure of being serenaded by James from the songs.
Check him and other performers out at the Toronto Bicycle Music Festival this fall.
My daughter took a lot of photos from the back of the Xtracycle. She took all the shots of the ride back to High Park.
Lots of speeches at Queen’s Park.
Ward 13 led a ride back to the High Park area.
Thanks to all those who came out on a cold day to ride for Bike Lanes on Bloor!
Thanks to all the other volunteers who helped make this happen, and we’ll see you next year!
